1. 
A 4799 bp deletion was introduced into the Trem2 locus on mouse chromosome 17 using Cas9 endonuclease-mediated genome editing. The deletion removes the majority of Trem2 coding region including exon 2 to 4.
2.  The deletion mentioned above is anticipated to result in a functional knockout in homozygous offspring.
