  • 胰臟炎，胰島受到白血球浸潤。
  • 聽力隨年齡增長變差(3月聽力已嚴重喪失)。
  • 抗原呈現細胞(antigen-presenting cell)功能的缺陷；T淋巴球調節功能缺陷；NK cell功能缺陷；巨噬細胞不分泌細胞激素(cytokines)；缺乏補體C5。
  • 糖尿病發病特徵具性別差異性，雌性發生年齡較早，且比率高於雄性，故研究時常用雌鼠。於30週齡時，雌性有90-100%發病，雄性在30-40週齡僅有40-60%的發病率。雌性在12週齡時體內胰島素含量開始降低，而雄鼠則晚雌鼠數週後表現。症狀會產生糖尿、血糖過高(超過250mg/dl) 。
