Strain Description
1.  This strain harbors a plasmid-based transgene engineered to overexpress human ACE2 under the control of the ubiquitous CAGGS promoter. The construct was injected into C57BL/6J embryos with the aim of enabling hACE2-mediated viral entry and potentially modeling the pathological symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection in transgenic mice.
2.  Although the actual infection experiment has not yet been conducted, expression of human ACE2 protein in transgenic mouse tissues—including brain, intestine, heart, lung, and kidney—has been confirmed by both Western blotting and immunohistochemical staining using an ACE2-specific antibody (GeneTex, Cat. No. GTX636265).
