Strain Description ： The targeting vector contained mutant sequence in the upstream-2and proximal SF-1 binding site of Cyp11a1 gene respectively(TAGCCTTGA was replaced with TAGaaTTGA), an insertion of the loxP-flankedneo gene in intron 1, was introduced into 129 embryonic stem cells by homologous recombination followed by blastocyst injection. Theneo gene was removed by cre-mediated recombination. One and halfloxP sites in the intron1 ofCyp11a1 were left after cre-mediated recombination. This strain has been backcrossed to C57BL/6 for more than ten generation.
