Strain Description

：

1.	The targeting vector contains a loxP-flanked exon 2 of the Mcl1 gene. This targeting vector was electroporated into R1 embryonic stem cells. The positive clones harboring targeted allele were further microjnjected into blastocysts to generated chimeric mice. The mice were backcrossed with C57BL/6 more than 10 generations and maintained in C57BL/6 background.
2.	Homozygous mice are viable and fertile.
