Strain Description
1.  CRISPR/Cas9 endonuclease mediated genome editing introduced E85V into Prap1 gene by coinjection of a single-stranded mutant DNA oligo, Prap1-targeting sgRNA and Cas9 mRNA into pronulear stage one-cell C57BL/6J mouse embryos. Mice carried E85V mutation were bred in C57BL/6 background.
2.  The length of the small intestine in this strain was longer than littermate control.
3.  On a normal chow diet, the phenotype is as follows,
1)  E85V mutant had adefect in lipid absorption
2)  E85V mutantiondid not affect apoB mRNA expression, but significantly less apoB48 and       apoB100 and triglycerideswere distributed to the CM/VLDL-rich fraction of E85Vplasma       compared with thesame fraction from control mouse plasma.
4.  On a high-fat diet, the phenotype of this strain is as follows,
1)  Gained significantly less body weight compared with control mice.
2)  Manifested smaller adipose tissues (including iWAT and eWAT) and lowe triglyceride           levels than controls.
3)  The lipid droplets, hepatocytes with vacuolation and hepatic triglyceride contents were          significant reduced;manifesteddiminished high-fat diet-induced hepatosteatosis
5.  Phenotype of E85V mutant is very similar to that of Prap1 deficient mice
